Should my child do the International Baccalaureate or Abitur?

If you plan to leave Germany, IB is better. If staying for university in Germany, the Abitur is the gold standard and offers easier entry to high-NC subjects like Medicine.
Tips
Check if the school offers a Gemischtes Doppel (double degree) where students earn both the Abitur and the IB simultaneously.
