What is Hitzefrei and why is school closing early today?

When classrooms get too hot (usually above 27°C), the principal can declare Hitzefrei. School ends early, for example at 11:30 AM.
Tips
Check your school app (Sdui or Untis) by 7:30 AM on hot days. If you are working, ask your employer about flexible hours for unforeseen care needs.
